At RCS, research and training are fundamental to our success.

We are associated with top industry research organizations and manufacturers allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of credible technology and methodologies.

We start by selecting educated individuals, groom them through formal in-house training with real defect samples and several months of on-the-job fundamental training, third-party qualification, and supply them with the most advanced technology available to do the job. By taking this approach we are able to apply highly educated and disciplined professionals directly to the needs of our customers.

RCS conducts continuous internal and third-party field research in the area of advanced NDE detection and flaw analysis.

RCS is a Technical Program Associate Member of Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI).

The Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI), is the preeminent global collaborative research development organization of, by, and for the energy pipeline industry. PRCI is a community of the world’s leading pipeline companies, vendors, service providers, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations supporting our industry.

RCS’s research and involvement with PRCI keeps the industry up-to-date with the latest, most trusted, and credible NDT solutions available to owner operators. It provides a sense of comfort and security to know that “we have your back.”

Training

RCS is the first integrity NDE specialist company to be qualified directly by a third-party, API endorsed qualifier on phased array crack sizing for pipeline integrity ILI tool validation and assessment.

We use accredited third-party training academies to train and qualify our staff on Phased Array Ultrasonics (UT) technology, and our conventional and advanced UT procedures have been qualified by an accredited qualifier in a controlled environment.

RCS not only seeks outside professional assistance and credibility training, but we have an in-house state-of-the art training facility that we use for personnel training and technique development. We own approximately 50 pipe anomaly defect samples of various characterizations and categories ranging from external/internal corrosion and mechanical damage to stress corrosion cracking and internal ERW linear defects.

We have the ability to train field technicians and data support personnel on all aspects of the pipeline integrity defect assessment program in a controlled environment.

AUTC

Advanced Ultrasonics Training Center ( AUTC )

AUTC is the Advanced Ultrasonic Training Center developed by RCS as a place to further develop its technical staff in the art of advanced ultrasonic testing for pipeline integrity.

Advanced Ultrasonics Training Center ( AUTC )

It has since become a center of excellence for research and development of advanced ultrasonic technique and methodology. Approximately 2000 sq. ft. has been developed to house over 100 defects, large and small, custom calibration and confidence reference samples, and a vast inventory of the worldís best state-of-the-art technology. AUTC has fully-automated technologies accompanied by live video monitors, multiple application stations, and a projection room to lecture 20 students. However, AUTC limits its hands-on technical training to 10 students at a time. We supplement our program with individual video-based step-by-step training for special applications, like phased array data analysis, where students may work at their own pace requiring minimal personal tutoring.

We welcome students of all backgrounds but highly encourage that the student come prepared with Level II angle beam knowledge and real world experience.

A lead Pipeline Integrity NDE Specialist is equipped with the best NDE technology for the project. All team expert resources are available as needed for special applications or circumstances. The Technical Director is frequently involved in any special technology applications.
